Heather Boyd: Miss Merton’s Last Hope (Giveaway)

Awesome book!!

Susana's Parlour

Interview with Heather Boyd

Susana: Tell us about yourself.

MEDIA KIT Author ImageHeather: Greetings. I’m a regency historical romance author, indie published, and sole female in a testosterone fueled household. (Even the cat is male) I love old books, old furniture and houses and research — regency era of course.

Susana: Do you ever wish you were someone else? Who?

Heather: No. I’m pretty comfortable with myself and my life. Of course I still wish for that big lottery win, the ability to clone myself when overworked, and a years worth of coffee and chocolate in perpetuity – much like everyone else I expect.

Susana: Do you have any phobias?

Heather: Spiders and snakes, which is stupid considering I live in Australia where you can’t step out your front door without being attacked by one. Just kidding. They wait until the second step before they land on you with evil intentions.

Susana: Have…

Jude Knight: A Baron for Becky

Very interesting interview between Aldridge and Jude

Susana's Parlour

BfB cover final small copy

Aldridge Interviews His Creator

by Jude Knight

In the rush to launch A Baron for Becky, this past month I’ve given the study no more than a flick with a duster and a lick and a promise from the vacuum. Every surface is covered with papers and books. The Marquis of Aldridge looks out of place, prowling the limited space between the clutter, the two computer stations, the stack of printers, and the bookshelves.

I can’t mistake him, though. This invention of my overactive mind is actually here, in the 21st century, in my work room, tipping his head to read the book spines, and picking up the pair of copper seals on the window ledge.

Aldridge Anthony Grenville, Marquis of Aldridge

He is such a peacock, with his highly embroidered waistcoat, the jewelled pin placed just so in a cravat knot of his own devising, the pantaloons and coat fitting…

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: AN INTERVIEW WITH COLLETTE CAMERON

Very good interview on a very good book

Rakes And Rascals

I’m delighted to welcome Bestselling, Award-Winning Author COLLETTTE CAMERON to Rakes and Rascals today for an exclusive interview.

I’m thrilled to be here, Carol. Thank you so much for inviting me.

~~~~~~
R&R:
Could you tell us where you were born and what it was like growing up there?
Collette:
I was born in Seaside, a small tourist town along the most northwest Oregon coast. I lived their almost my entire childhood, and graduated third in my class as “most studious.”
While I was growing up, the population remained under 5000 people, but that number swelled nearly ten-fold during the peak tourist season. The locals, including me, didn’t like it all that much, though the merchants did.
To this day, I love the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore, gulls calling overhead, and fierce winter storms.
There was a bakery, now moved farther up Broadway near the Turn-Around…
Then the blurb.
Miss Amelia Bonnington has been in love with her childhood hero since she was eleven years old… or so she thought until a not-so proper impassioned and unyielding kiss from the not-so honorable and equally disreputable Lord Derrick Brinsley, gave her reason to question the feelings of the heart.
Lord Brinsley, shunned from society for running off with his brother’s fiancée, hasn’t cared about or questioned his lack of acceptance until meeting the beguiling Amelia Bonnington. One passionate moment with the fiery Miss Bonnington has him more than willing to play by society’s rules to possess the breathtaking, red-haired woman.
Amelia unwittingly becomes…
Monday Excerpts!
Very good book!!
Ella Quinn ~ Author
Welcome to Monday Excerpts. Today you’re invited to post any excerpt up to 800 words featuring secondary characters. Please feel free to post buy links, or your social media links. If you’re not a writer, tell me what type of secondary characters you love!
Here is my excerpt from Lady Beresford’s Lover.
“What the devil do you think you are doing?” Nick growled at his longtime friend and fellow former officer, Damon, Marquis of Hawksworth.
“Saving you from yourself,” came the self-assured reply. “Couldn’t you see the lady didn’t want anything to do with you?”
“I made a promise.” Nick clung stubbornly to his desire to have all of this finished, one way or the other.
“Well, if you really do wish to wed her”—Hawksworth’s tone was more of a question—“I suggest you leave the lady alone for a bit.” He pressed a glass of wine into Nick’s hand. “I thought all…
